About the event
Presentation Information: Akshay Jayaram will discuss some of the key characteristics to consider when selecting target reservoirs for geologic carbon sequestration, including examples from actual sequestration projects.
Speaker Bio:
Akshay has been a petroleum engineering consultant at NSAI since 2018. His experience includes oil and gas reserves and resources estimation of both domestic and international properties using deterministic and probabilistic methodologies, field development planning, reservoir simulation modeling, well testing, economic evaluations, and experience evaluating reservoirs selected for carbon sequestration projects.
Prior to joining NSAI, Akshay worked for over nine years at ExxonMobil were he held various reservoir engineering positions supporting assets in the Middle East, Guyana, Russia, and Gulf of Mexico.
Akshay holds a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering with Research Honors from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

In 2023 the Petroleum Engineers Club of Dallas will aim to meet on the 2nd Friday of every month (a few exceptions will happen and are noted on the club calendar).
