Presentation Information:
Frank Dialogue about the Energy Transition
The energy transition is happening with or without the oil industry. It can be mortal threat or a new opportunity. The discussion addresses the need and outlook for the transition. Structured as Q&A, it allows for maximum content on the most important topics -- those of interest to the audience. As a 28-year veteran of the oil industry turned supporter of a transition educated in sustainable energy at Johns Hopkins, Mr. Purvis brings the answers he found to hard and maddening questions he wrestled, the conclusions he reached, and the many uncertainties that remain. Come prepared with your questions about climate change, emission reductions, net zero, China, India, Africa, hypocrisy, CCS, voluntary carbon markets, the effect on the US economy, and anything else.
