In this presentation, Charles Meyer of Stephens will walk through a review of a recently announced energy transaction using only publicly available information. By working backward from the public announcement, the session will explore how M&A professionals analyze deals to better understand key metrics without access to confidential data. The discussion will highlight the analytical frameworks used to dive deep on major transactions.
Speaker Bio:
Charles Meyer joined Stephens in February 2020 as Senior Technical Head in the Energy Group and currently leads the Stephens upstream technical team. Meyer started his career as a reservoir engineer for ExxonMobil in 2009 where he supported numerous assets in progressively more senior roles.
