About the event

Presentation Information:

The oil and gas industry is fraught with challenges, especially regarding the transparency of transactions in Texas. Producers often struggle to ensure they’re getting the best prices for their oil due to the complexities of gathering relevant data. Barrel Hub’s software, is designed to transform these challenges by leveraging public legislative mandates, promising a more transparent transaction environment, and ensuring that producers receive the best prices.

Barrel Hub is the first-of-its-kind software built specifically for Texas oil and gas producers. With Barrel Hub you can see and compare the actual data for every lease in Texas. Users have access to the gravity, the volume, and the real prices paid every month, on every lease in Texas. And to make that data useful Barrel Hub also gives users the name of both the purchaser and the producer for each lease. Each county is automatically sorted by price from the highest to lowest price paid, making it easy for producers to see where they rank versus their peers.

Speaker Bio:

John Fox is the VP of Sales and Customer Engagement at Barrel Hub.  He is also owner of DTX Solutions, a startup consulting firm focusing on disruptive technologies in a variety of different markets. John graduated from Millsaps College in 2005 with a B.A. in Political Science.  From 2006-2007 John played professional baseball before returning to Millsaps College to finish his MBA.

John started his career in Private Equity with GreenGate Partners where they purchased timber tracts from institutional partners and converted the purchased acreage to its highest and best use.
